Blount County emergency meals and shelter packages will obtain $34,420 from the Federal Emergency Administration Company’s Emergency Meals and Shelter Nationwide Board Program.
A nationwide board chaired by FEMA and consisting of representatives from American Pink Cross; Catholic Charities, USA; Nationwide Council of the Church buildings of Christ within the USA; The Jewish Federations of North America, The Salvation Military; and United Means Worldwide chosen Blount County to obtain the funds “to assist develop the capability of meals and shelter packages in high-need areas across the nation,” a United Means of Blount County press launch said.
A neighborhood board now will decide how the cash is distributed amongst Blount County’s emergency meals and shelter packages. Non-public, voluntary nonprofits or models of presidency are capable of obtain the funds if the company has an accounting system, practices nondiscrimination, demonstrates the potential to ship emergency meals and/or shelter packages and is eligible to obtain federal funds.
